I like to use (enom.com) good prices good service.

yahoo.com domains is the first mistake you did, and to transfer that domain from yahoo will be even harder, you may want to call them or start a push from another reigster.

Good news is your learning and fixing your mistake :)

$2 only, do you have to buy additional services? what is the catch? I don't like Yahoo web hosting at all.
I actually do not like yahoo period, their to submit to their directory you have to pay $300 ..... this is silly.

I have transferred my few domains from Yahoo without any problem.
I just unlocked them, order the transfer from other registrar, got confirmation email few days later, confirmed the transfer and that was it.

Cannot see any difference from any other registrar?

I hope that you don't "jump out of the frying pan and into the fire" so to speak. Yahoo is one thing but iPowerweb is worse, and ****** is worse yet. Look at namecheap (eNom reseller--good prices, great service), dynadot (registrar not reseller, $7.99, I haven't tried yet but they look promising), moniker, and maybe poke around http://www.namepros.com and http://www.webhosting.info/registrars/ for more information.

Onion82 >> have you searched this forum before asking out opinion about Yahoo? If you did, most of your questions were already answered in previous threads...

Some domains (.orgs, .infos) are harder to transfer out of Yahoo than, for example, .coms. This is because you need an authorization code to get them out and it's very hard to get. If you search here, you will find many people who say it's impossible, but I posted recently a list of steps that I used to have my .org and .info domains successfully transferred away from Yahoo.
