I agree with you and it is usually other hosts sticking in a nose to bad mouth another host when a future/potential/ex client asks a question or so.

Not really sure what your talking about (w/ your really high post count and all... I'm assuming you simply made a new name to post this comment)...

You must agree that it has become rather defamatory these days. I'm still relativly new but I have noticed that it's all slanging. It used to be the fun of the business and helping out eachother.

From what I have seen, I think that the Mods are trying to clean the forum up, I know that they have made changes for the good in the Requests forum.

People are always going to slag hosts, but I personally think that it has got alot better in the last few weeks, there was a stage where every other message was like it!

Personally, I think WHT is just busier these days.
I don't think it has gone up proportionately. There's just more because there are more members.

I would agree that all there is around here is complaining. the real material is everywhere but this forum and the dedicated forum (sometimes).

In fact, if you search the forums you'll find that the same observation has been made over and over, at least for the couple of years I've been here. In fact, I'm sure that a while ago I answered a similar post by pointing to a few of those past threads, but I'm too lazy to do that this time.

Nothing's changed, as far as I can tell. There've always been flare-ups, then it quiets down again. Not only here, but in every web forum, newsgroup, and bbs I've participated in for the past 20+ years.

Do you surf the net much? You should join some professional development news groups that CEOs from all types of business post. Talk about in your face. Even other Forums that are related to design and hosting are the same. Some forum owners are more strict about it, but WHT allows issues to be discussed, debated, and sometimes flamed - then closed. It has always been like this since I have posted. Some will tell you it was worse a few years ago.

Frankly I like the way the mods do business. Trolls or people posting BS will not be tolerated. Also, there are some very smart people here that will not put up with ignorant post or attempts to advertise. I like that.

What I don't get is why people cry about WHT and then continue to come here. If you don't like Howard Stern, don't listen. If you don't like WHT, don't click in. How hard is that?
