View Full Version : How do I actually get ahold of someone from PayPal?

A few days ago, I sent in a query via PayPal's tiresomely troubling web form, that requires lots of clicking to get very little done, and after finally submitting an email, I got a response today (three days later).

It was clearly a canned response, using my full name and filled with the vaguest information that they could have possibly used.

But do you know what really got on my nerves?

THEY DIDN'T EVEN PRETEND TO ANSWER MY QUESTION!

I guess because it had the words "debit card" in it, it triggered their "debit card canned response."

The question had nothing to do with reporting my debit card stolen in any fashion, I hadn't even mentioned that in the email. The word "stolen" or "lost" wasn't even written!

So, does anybody know a direct line / email / person that I can get in touch with for real help?

Also, depending on your volume, you might also have a direct sales contact. If you had that, they should have called you to let you know.

I doubt we qualify for any volume stuff.

I'm going to telephone in a minute, as I remember from an earlier problem that they were pretty helpful.

I've called them several times and found them very helpful every time, and it's also been cool that the phone support is NOT outsourced.

PayPal's email support is HORRIBLE. They usually get back to you within 24 hours but they never remotely answer your question. They just bounce around the issue. To get a strait answer out of them you have to call them.

Email support is awful they never answer the relevant question. I got one email from them the other day saying... (or along the lines of)

----------

Hello my name is *** and I'm from the Support team of PayPal... I'd be more than happy to help you!

No this isn't possible.

Regards

Call them and you generally go through to their Irish support team I believe and they are pretty helpful.....

There support is not top of the line took me like 1 or 2 days to get a reply back , and its like now 2 years now since i been waiting for my money to come back due to some fraud that someone comitted and issue is still not resolved.

So good luck, i guess calling them would be wise idea.
