I'd like to automate some photoshop tasks and -as a photshop noob- got some questions. (If you think this is the wrong forum please tell me where to go too!)

My questions:
1. Is there a history-to-batch conversion option? I have a result that I like, can convert the history to a batch job, starting at step x? How?

2. Is it possible to edit something in the history and then 'replay'/reapply the following steps automatically? Lets say I have a 15 step process and I have done all. Now I want to go back and change something in step 3, then reapply all the changes from step 4-15. Possible? I have tried but as soon as I edit something in step 3 it deletes the all the following steps.

Thanks a lot,

Yeah, Just create a snapshot of whatever state you want to revert to, then in your batch, select the snap shot. Make sure you name the snapshot though, so it doesnt just default to snapshot 1, or whatever the default name is. This is something you do in the history palette.
