Hello,

Where would you recommend to register a new .name domain?
I've checked this forum for some popular registrars, but those I found either don't offer .name TLD or get negative reviews (like 1and1).

We are not in domain reselling business (especially not .name domains), so getting the cheapest possible price isn't a concern here. From the other hand, we won't need much support because it's just 1 time registration for 5 year term and we will do DNS hosting.

Any ideas? Thank you for your time.

If that was ME who's deciding and financial matters would be of least importance, then I'll use NetSol, of course (because Moniker does not support .name registrations).

Good luck!

Thank you all for the replies.
Could you elaborate more on the reason you prefer particular registrar?

I realize that being able to consolidate all domains under a single account is a very important one, unfortunately it's not possible in this case (our registrar doesn't support .name registrations).

Since we are going to register this domain on behalf of our customer, I guess the most important thing is to make sure we can transfer control over the domain to the customer hassle free and at no extra cost.

domains.yahoo.com

never ever use yahoo to register your domain.
They are not registrar, their registrar is melbourneit (an Australian registrar)
and you won't have full control of your domain name.
Here is one of bad experience with yahoo domain
