Moved to Web Design and Content. Can you explain a bit more what you are trying to achieve?

I do not think that an Affiliate program will bring customers to you if you are just starting up. You are more likely to get them from word of mouth. Although affiliate programs are nice to add in once you have got a nice client base going and people ask for it, then you start to see some customers coming from it.

One thing you have to ask if you are just starting up is can you afford to loose that little bit of income from the new client and give it to the referring client.

You need to offer something that other hosting companies do not. Or make your hosting better than others. There are plenty of people who are in affiliate programs to make extra cash but why would someone sign a client up for a crappy site with bad uptime/support? Make sure your services are great, then everything should work good for you.

Offering an affiliate program is definitely putting the cart before the horse. Be sure your hosting system/business is setup and able to function with adding on another channel like affiliates. If it is, then go for it...if not, take the time to do it right and the rest should fall into place. Good luck!

Hello,

Affiliate programs can back fire beware you have to find a way to make sure that the clints who are coming to you via a affiliate stick with you for long as it will be a big loss if the affiliate collects his payment the then there are cancellations.

in order for an affiliate program to work well you need to have a product that will sell itself. Affiliates just put up a banner or a link generally and this needs to generate all your sales. A good banner ad or marketing campaign can do the trick

Get your business running well first. Affiliate programs can boost your sales by 15-20% but take time and investment. Affiliates want to see a well run business before they bother with you.
