hello

I just purchased a server from nocster.net, first being happy about this nice offer i am now totally confused.
The incoming/outgoing traffic is so damn slow and i really don't understand why that is.
I have already mailed support and they said they replaced a cable but the speed is still the same.

16:25:17 (17.24 KB/s) - `uumap.tar.Z' saved [8520221]

I downloaded several files all from different locations within the united states and i never got more than maximal 28KB/s
The outgoing traffic is even slower

Can someone tell me if this is only a problem with my server or do other people have such problems with their nocster servers as well ?

Thanks

how many ips do you have on your server
do you have an eth0:1 on the server? if so

try this

wget --bind-address=eth0:1's ip url.com/file.exe

e.g.

wget --bind-address=216.18.0.178
http://www.icq.com/hello.exe

also how many nic's do you have?

i have this same prob for another box

two nic's

I have a noctser server also but have absolutely no speed problems. I've downloaded stuff to the server at over 700kb.
