what do you reckon?

www.satanichackers.org

Paid two months in advance and purchased extra bandwidth.

I would see about contacting them by phone - explain that with a name like "SatanicHackers.org" you need to just verify it isn't a fraudulent attempt. Never know - it could be a gaming clan.

If you can't reach them by the number associated with their billing address - then I would not activate it and inform them by their given email address that you apologize for any inconvience and then a brief message detailing the reason for the delay.

Just my thought

They've paid through PayPal so I have emailed them saying thanks but no thanks and to allow 28 days for refund - that will give the banking system & PayPal enough time to see if there is anything fraudulent that side. I don't want ot refund them only to find I end up out of pocket!

While a domain like that should trigger any manual fraud inspector/abuse department, the one thing you need to consider is the consequences of posting customer data on an open forum, especially if you do have a privacy policy or want customer's to know they can confide in you with personal data.

I know, in the past, I've been OK with sharing information on individuals who used fake credit cards to try to get approved. It'd help others avoid messy chargebacks, or inadvertently hosting spammers/phishers. Not sure if this is a similar situation, however, since paypal hasn't verified that the order is indeed fraud. Interested to hear how some of you would handle this situation / disclosing customer data like acec

They bought the domain also through you ?

If not then it would be a bit fake as when you try to whois that domain it doesn't exist.

I wouldn't sign up with a host that may cancel me because they don't like my domain. Did they actually do something that's against your TOS?

I would give them an email or a call to verify, if it still looks dogedy then refund

What are your standard order review procedures? Email them requesting a phone number for verification and then do a phone verification to be on the safe side.

All this assuming the customers business is worth all this trouble.
