View Full Version : Problem finding registrar

This problem is all my fault, but I'm hoping someone can help me.

I registered a .info domain from a special that was posted at WHT. It was on July 18. At that time, this hosting company offered .info domains for dirt cheap, along with a $50 adsense coupon.

I've lost my login info, and to make things worse, I forgot who the registrar is. The upstream, publicdomainregistry is no help. When I use their option to show the registrar, it just shows my whois info.

All I remember about the hosting company is that it started with "A", and the control panel isn't tucows, but the other generic white label kind.

Any help anyone can give with this would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe if you can post the domain name, we can assist you.

The publicdomainregistery info you are seeing in the whois info shows you purchased the domain through a Directi (Now ResellerClub.com) reseller. You can try to contact ResellerClub.com and ask then the name of the reseller you purchased the domain name through. They should be able to help you out.

Hope that helps.

cb, thanks. I found the control panel login, but thus far I can't get in because it's not taking my e-mail, and of course since I don't know who the actual reseller was, I don't know who to e-mail for support. I don't know that resellerclub would help a customer.

Once again, post the domain name and maybe we can help you.

That's where it gets good: it's all on my laptop, whose hard drive fried. I have the best luck.

It's 9wsyr.info

My sources are telling me it has been smishosting.com you've registered your domain at.

Their email, as per DirectI's files is dns-mgr@smishosting.com

Unfortunately, it looks like they are out of business as their domain (smishosting.com) is redirecting to the parked page.

You're having one helluva luck indeed. :bawling:

Hm... What your credit card statement is telling you? Usually there is a phone number of the company which charged you that you may try to call...

Do a search for 'SMISHosting.Com' on WHT. There are 2 members that seem to work for them... You might send them PMs.

Good luck!

What about your credit card statement? Is there any phone number associated with the charge?
