There is no such thing as unlimited, as you would see from a search in the forums. A provider could not sustain your business, if you decided to use 5 terrabytes of space at $30/month. If they are offering unlimited, they either have so many rules in their TOS/AUP to make it difficult to come close to using any space, or they are trying to make a quick buck (leaving you out to dry when they dump their venture). Your best bet would be to go with a reliable reseller, whose active on the forums and is able to assist you with appropriate responses in a reasonable timeframe. With $30 you can get a reasonable reseller account with a company that can service you as you grow to a dedicated.

I'm well aware that there's no such 'unlimited' plan exist. But their admin promise me they will not run out of space because they will buy new servers if needed.

It's a good offer ? Should i try my luck with them?

You would need really really good luck for that package to work.

You guys don't sound confident at all with this offer. But those two offers sound great for me.

Should i create a plan like this?

Egg Plan:
700Mb space
1Gb Bandwith
Unlimited all (Email,Mysql etc)
$Us 5

Chicky Plan:
1Gb space
4Gb bandwith
Unlimited all (Email,Mysql etc)
$Us 7

It's decent enough?

Thank you.

I've tried unlimited hosting for awhile. They said they would keep on upgrading the servers and 3 months later they shut down and take everyone's money and leaves. Not even an email notice or anything. If you ever see an unlimited plan I suggest that you stay away.

Err....it seems that i've no choice but to stay away from them.

Anyway how about my plan? It's good enough ? :)

I would reccomend staying away from the unlimited hosting plan as well. Some hosts can come closer to offering this if they are more established.

Hopefully, if you are using 30GB of disk space and 250 GB of bandwidth you will be bringing in a good enough profit to open up your own managed server.

Hurm, but i'm still not clear on how to create a profitable package. How much space and bandwith must i allocate for each plan? Which one is the most important?

Do i need to create a very cheap plan or what?

Thanx

You don't need to create a cheap plan. Find a target market and work on it. By going to cheap way, you'll be competing directly with all the big guys, with no hope of turning a profit. By working a niche (like real estate, or well, whatever really) you can have higher prices, better profits, and be on your way to success :)

From personal experiance it seems most people use more disk space then bandwidth. This is probable good news for the hosting industry considering hard drive prices are so cheap these days.

I would reccomend doing some research on other companies to find out how much disk space and bandwidth to offer at what price.

I can't agree more with WK-Anthony on the niche market technique.

Good Luck in your new biz venture, rontol. :)

Hurm, but i'm still not clear on how to create a profitable package. How much space and bandwith must i allocate for each plan?Well, it can certainly get confusing fast if you resell from an "unlimited" reseller package. One way to price things is to look in the future, when the business will grow and you'll have to get your own dedicated servers.

I can tell you one thing though: $37 can pay for a limited amout of anything. Unlimited everything reseller packages are some of the most ridiculous packages around.

you should look for a plan with lower disk space e.g. 3-10GB as you will find you may not even use all of that.

Dude first order something, than decide about your future i doubt anyone can suggest anything about what your plans should look like, plus than where will this statement "my business-minded brain sense that we can gain a decent amounts of money in web hosting business" , Apply ?

And dude if you get unlimited plan, can you please provide me with 100 TB of space and 800TB of bw cause i can really use it, will pay you half of what you pay them half of 38$ i suppose). I do not ask for unlimited cause it might be too much for asking,so i ask for only small space and bw out of your unlimited.

Thanks
