I knew someone who was wearing a hat, it was from there, looked torn up, then he told me he just got a new one and it looked the exact same. Yep thats right they sell pretorn crap. Same with jeans, like 60 dollars for something they got out of the salvation army box and slapped a abercrombie logo on it Gadgy 06-07-2002, 11:17 PM AMSTERDAM  oops, forgot to mention "every charity shop in town"! 311 06-07-2002, 11:27 PM I make my own clothes...:) :D  akashik 06-08-2002, 12:23 AM USA - CompUSA Aust - Harvey Norman - sorry, techno-geek. Dalton's- cuz they have all those cool "bargain books" in the front of the store where you can get cool $35 coffee table books for $5! :D Furniture- IKEA!!!! C'mon, where else can you get pretentious, fake-boho/ urban hipster furniture for cheap???? (Besides, they've got that cool Swedish restaurant to eat at!) Miscellaneous- Urban Outfitters, for the cool books, shower curtains with weird pics on them, and mini keychain etch-a-sketches. Cheap 99 cent stores. (Yes, I shop at those! Now in Australia we don't have 99c shops - we have $2 shops (that's our economy for you) and I shop there! But when I have a bit of money to splash around I usually head for ...um...let's see....The Body Shop, Lush, Death By Chocolate, (or anything by chocolate really)...places that tempt my senses................ I just can't go past shop that is selling self-indulgence or luxury, and is a completely fabulous waste of my hard-earned money. Sorry, you just don't get the aromas, sounds and sights on the net that you do when you walk into somewhere like Lush that has their hand-made bath balls fizzing away in a deep blue glass bowl of warm water so you can smell and hear and see how soothing and sexy and ...well......totally indulgent their products are............... Um...........gotta go shopping NOW |
