We are looking to get an online ecommerce script that will allow ourselves to list our own products although we would like to be able to have users, from other companies, to list their products although be charged a certain amount of commision on their sale. The products are going to be actual ones rather than digital. Please may you recommend, or tell us where we could find an ecommerce script that would be able to forfill this requirement.

zencart or cubecart. they are really good and free for you to test.

my suggestions would be take these scripts and then add some features to it by hiring a developer.

I don't know of any offhand. You might look into Miva. Though I don't think they have a product that does this there are tons of developers that produce addons for it that might do what you want. Just to warn you though, Miva prices are much higher than X-Cart. Though I believe it is a superior product.

cubecart blows. $50 for a csv importer. X-Cart or oscommerce are the more popular ones.
