View Full Version : eNom ETP question

I'm comparing using eNom vs. Resellerclub/DirectI for my company. DirectI seems straightforward, with affordable pricing and money deposited instead of money down the tube. (eNom requires a lot of money to do it by deposit, it seems.)

With eNom, I could become a sub-reseller under an existing ETP and this is very affordable. The problem is, what happens if the ETP is unreliable?

So, my question(s):

- If I get a sub-reseller account through an existing ETP and they go out of business, what happens? Can I still get customer support through eNom?
- What about if the ETP support just sucks? Then could I get customer support through eNom? Can I transfer my domains to another ETP or can I get my own ETP and transfer them?
- Does anyone have a recommendation for a reliable eNom ETP?

Thanks!

1. I'm pretty sure that's what happens--eNom becomes more of a last resort than a first option, if you're a sub-reseller.

2. Transferring domains between ETPs is no problem, you can push from the control panel. If the support sucks, youc an always request to "upgrade" to an ETP, or move somewhere else.

3. I forgot who, but I know that there are a couple of ETPs around here that offer sub-accounts. Just keep an eye out.

We've been under Northstar Data Systems (nn.net) for 3 years now and have had no problems. The site doesn't mention anything about sub-accounts so you will need to email them about it.

- if the higher reseller/etp gets inactive you're moved to enom

- ETPjust sucks, move on to another ETP and push domains over via PUSH but no funds transfer

- search WHT and do your homework real good

I looked on WHT but didn't see any strong recommendations for ETPs. Am I missing something?
