Hello!

i have this silly question.. How can i check if a domain is locked or unlocked?

If its unlocked i need anything else to transfer it from company 1 to company 2?

Thanks a lot!

Yep thats correct, if its unlocked it can be moved. Also if you want to check use dnsstuff.com, whois the domain and it should tell you its status.

Hope that Helps

If it's a .org/.info/.biz and other extensions, you'll also need an EPP Code to transfer it, not needed for .com/.net

What is "Active" in status?

Means locked or unlocked?

Thanks!

Active usually means Unlocked. I have seen the same term used in other context sometimes, which can get a bit confusing.

Besides being unlocked, you need to have a valid Admin Contact email address in your whois info, so that you can approve the transfer to the new registrar.
