Do you just block them from viewing the site or block them from placing an order? I want to know the technical side, as I am going to be setting up a hosting business in a few months but I am trying to learn as much as I can.:) Thanks, Imitech magnafix 06-09-2002, 03:26 PM Quick and easy method is to have an .htaccess file (assuming Apache on Linux/Unix) with lines like so: Deny from 217.10.201.74 Many hosts block particular IPs/ranges this way. Our automated signup system resolves IPs to country codes (see my previous post) and then compares the IP-country to billing-country. They need to match. And, we have a blacklist (RO, ID, a dozen others) of 'bad countries' from which we don't accept signups. The only reason I got the IP address was that we detected it had been placed through a proxy server and set him up with a 1MB plan with 100Mb of data transfer and waited for him to log in...........
