Hi everyone,

I'm new here, but I would like to WARN anyone that is looking at using http://www.inihosting.com for hosting.

Three days ago I registered on their "power plan", and received my information within 4 hours (which was great), I uploaded a couple of files and looked at how the server ran for CGI and database. I then removed my files and proceed to upload my "real" images, html and php files. I soon found that I could NOT access my website (www.auserotica.com) at all. I had emailed inihosting about this, but they new nothing about it or how the problem had happened. 2 days later my website was still NOT working. I have emailed them 4 times now and each time I got NO reply.

I send my last email to them only 1 hour ago, this is how it reads.
-----
My site has now been down for a full 2 days.

I'm not paying for down time, and if you dont fix this issue within the next 12 hours, I will move my website to another location and tell all my friends to never touch your hosting service.
-----
I think 2 days is enough time to email your clients and give them an update on the issue. Don't you?

This is their reply
-----
Your card will be credited tomorrow. Thank you for trying INI. We do not take threats and you can tell your freinds they should know about us. Thank you.
INIHosting.com

I was going to use INIHOSTING for my other 3 domain names but from the lack of professionalism and tech support from these ass-holes I can assure you, that will not be happening now.

If you have a hosting company and offer "State-of-the-art data center" then your clients expect you to be online 24/7 with the possible 1% down time. INIhosting have a good 70% down time. Great service guys, keep up the good work.

well taht wasn't that Bad websitecreations.net (not .com) needed around 14 days to setup my account on their server...although i payed for hosting and domain name. And when they finaly answered me..they sadi that it was some DNS problem but i got no credit for the lost hosting time.
That was not all once you sign up you get shared IP but upon a request ( i had to ask for it because i got emails
sent to other people..and i supposed that someone else reads mine too.) they said that theyll move it to a dedicated IP...its almost 3 months and my hosting period is comming to its end...but i still recive Other People Mo...Mails...and support system...hahahah you have to wait for at least 4-5 days...ppl dont even come close to them...

Tiffany,

Thats real crappy :(. Sounds like they didn't refresh their named / apache databases. I refresh my databases AS SOON as I add a domain so that there is no downtime. But many hosts don't know how to refresh a database w/o rebooting so they don't do it because of the downtime :(. <<ADMIN EDIT>>

Hi James,

Thanks for your reply. Your prices are good, but im looking for 15GB traffic per month. My site is on the adult content side of things, so I can see it doing 15GB min. I was told the other day if your link gets put on a ADULT listing site you can get up to 200,000 hits a day, which would blow the 15GB month away.

I'll keep looking for the next week. I will report back when I find a hosting company that can do what they say.

Were you able to access it by using the IP instead of the domain name?

Tiffany please note that the only email that you sent that was not replied to was the one with What The F*ck? as the subject. We replied to all of your emails and tried to get you index.php working. When we tried to enter it in the config file we burned apache. We had some trouble getting it back up so that was the reason for the downtime. All of your emails were responded to within 8 hours so please at least tell the truth. The truth is that we could not set up the index.php soon enough for her. We are sorry for your negative opinion of INI. Thank you.

PS. She was so mad that she did not even want the Ginsu Knives.

Ironlung,

The email that I sent you had the subject "WTF?" not F*uck. You replyed to nothing except my last email which you removed my account. As for the index.php, why was index.html not working either? 8 hours to reboot your system? Why are you in business at all?
I am telling the truth, do you think I would waist my time to say these things if they didn't happen. I want everyone to know you SUCK as a host and can't do what you say.

P.S. I have gone with the people you lease off and so far, excellent service. response time in 2 hours. Better then 2 days.

Dear Tiffany:

Ini used to resell our services, now they only lease equipment from us.
Their products are independent from ours. Our server specifications also vary.

sorry to tell you cwi is great at first but customer support starts to go down the longer you're with them. i was with them for 8 months and finally left a month ago. my site was down for 4 days - they didn't even contact me. when i called their 800# i was told that they already knew about my problem and it would be fixed in 3 hours - it took from friday to sunday to fix it. my passwords would change without my knowing about it...no warning or anything. and i requested a subdomain three times and at first i was sent the wrong username/password and couldn't get into it, then i found out the subdomain was never created.

i'm in the process of leaving them - avoid them at all costs

they claim to be cheap, they claim to offer 99.999% uptime...

The reality is their servers are never up, their support is arrogant

Don't even consider them - they are a con

Hmm....I use websitecreations.net for one of my sites - the one listed in my profile, http://www.thedailydrive.com . I didn't have any problems, until recently. I signed up last fall, back when each domain on an $8.00 account or higher automatically got its own dedicated IP, so I haven't had any email problems, until recently: my domain-based email doesn't work at all (see link below) I actually like the Cobalt panel and being able to set up each email account as a separate user with their own level of access to the main domain. I actually liked these guys, until...you get the picture.

BUT....and there's always a "but"....

Lately I'm dealing with this (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?threadid=5938). My server's been down for over 24 hours now. I'm (1) asking for a credit for downtime (2) considering three other hosts.

I was looking at them a little bit earlier this evening.

I've been on the prowl for a new host for over a month, can't seem to find one that suits my needs...

One thing that is really putting me off, is the blatant lies that web hosting companies are allowed to get away with whilst describing "what you get" with their hosting packages. Deceptive business practises may get someone knocking at your door..but no-one's gonna keep paying the rent if you've falsified what they are paying for.

Ini Hosting..looked great on the outside..but soon as you read the fine print..yikes!

I was with Interland for a long time..don't know how I lasted so long with them...but I have finally had it.

If someone wants to offer me Adult Hosting at a fair and reasonable price...don't want to pay a dime over $100.00/month..even with all the hidden charges. That isn't too much to ask, is it?

Maybe a little late, But I was hosting in inihosting for 5 month and never have any problem, Mike is a great guy, he have some problem in feb. when the apache crash and have to install it all again.
I dunno if this can help somebody, but Inihosting is great for me.

I also have an adult site (http://www.hentaineko.com)
but it's not hosted with my own web hosting company ('cause my servers are VDI-based and adult sites are not allowed).

I use http://www.secured-net.net

Actually, I had a hard time choosing between Secured-Net and Inihosting at first. But then I saw that inihosting only gives you half the bandwidth if you have an adult site. For instance, when regular sites are offered 10GB, adult sites are only given 5GB.

I've been with Secured-Net for a month and so far Hentai Neko has been working perfectly well. Hentai Neko eats up a lot of bandwidth too for a small text-based site (not much graphics). I'm happy with them so far. Hopefully the service remains the same even if they get a lot of clients in the future.

P.S. I signed up for their Starter plan (??) the one that costs $2.95/month. But then like I said, Hentai Neko is pretty small, just about 2MB+ disk space. It ate up about 2-3GB bandwidth last month.

I don't think that VDI doesn't allow adult content, it's your server. I can also remember one of the bigger VDI based hosting companies offering me dedicated server for adult content...
