My question is if I am hosting a web site on one server by company A. My main site is on company A's server. I have another plan with company B which will be mainly used for chatrooms/forums. In order for others to access the chatrooms/forums do I just place a hyperlink in the web site on company B? I have no domain name on company B server. Is this possible? Thanks

I don't quiet get what you're trying to do. Are you trying to have a part of your website on one server, and another on a different server? Linking shouldn't be a problem ;) I'd probably have www2.domain.com pointing to the second server for easier access also.

Yes to eliminate bandwidth on Company A server. Company A server will be web site. Company B will host the chat room and forums, they take up more bandwidth. Plus I have more bandwidth to burn with Company B. Here is a scenerio: visit comes to my site clicks on chat which will take them to Company B server. Can I link to that server without the server having a domain name? If so by what means ip addy? Thanks

If you do have a domain name, there's no problem creating a subdomain for server B, or even a symlink (keep forgetting what it's called) so www.domain.com/serverB/anything will point to the server B. And of course you can just link to your IP on server B..
