I have one hosting account and two domains. How can I use my second domain with the same hosting account?

That's correct. You may be able to host two different websites with those domains, redirect one domain to point to the website of the other domain, or you may be able to do neither of those things. It all depends on what your host allows you to do.

You sure can with packages that offer multiple Addon Domains. All your websites (different domains) can be hosted on just that one account.

I am really confused. Okay, let's say I manage a website called myfirstdomain.com. Afterwards, I bought myseconddomain.com. I don't know what to fill in.

The first fill in I put -- myseconddomain.com

Do I first create a subdomain before going to addon domains?

No, when you add a add-on domain, it creates a subdomain of your choice (hence the field name) that your domain will point to, as well as the folder (with the name you put in) where you put your sites files. So in your site folder, it'll create a folder (whatever value you put in for "directory/subdomain") that you put your files in and it'll appear under that domain. Your control panel will also create a subdomain with the same name, so a copy of your site under mydomain2.com will appear under mydomain2.myfirstdomain.com.

hmmm my second domain works, but it redirects to (for example) myfirstdomain.com/myseconddomain, how come? can it act as its own domain?

this is how addon domains work

but it supposed to to stay as mysecondomain.com in the URL bar, although it depends on the server/control panel you're using.
