Do a search. They have been discussed.

Also, I like the fact they took Headsurfers quote about "Nothing beats our deal........"

This is why they are $2.40 a year:

From their support page:

"Customer Support - You don't need to worry about support! Once you become a customer, you will be able to easily find your answers in our state-of-the-art control panel! Please click above, if you have any sales questions or to view questions that may not be answered in the control panel."

Ah yes, I can imagine it now.
"Service- You don't need to worry about our service! Once you pay us, our state-of-the-art control panel will make it look like you're getting good service!"

Note: I'm not bashing them, as I have no experience with them.

This deal is a total newbie trap if you asked me.

They offer what, 8GB/mo + webspace for a quarter($0.25)/mo?
IMPOSSIBLE... This is worse than offering unlimited transfer.

Even if this provider is using Cogent bandwidth, this is WAY to cheap for a price per gig deal... This would mean, if the 25 cents only went towards bandwidth and not the server, you would be paying essentially 3 cents per gigabyte, which is impossible.

Watch how fast they go out of business if you sign up 10 sites that actually push 8gb/mo

I tried the control panel demo they had, they use Infinology Master Control Panel 4.08 for some reason... I think its the best control panel I have ever seen... Anyone else agree? With this control panel do you need much support... a few clicks here frontpage is setup, a few more clicks, email is done, and a few more coldfusion is also done... Are they outsourcing this control panel from anywhere?? Where can I get it if i want to resell the hosting... Honestly.. I dont know how much longer they can offer this $2.40/year Like I saw on another post.. The credit card transaction fee charged by the bank doesn't even cover that amount.. let alone pay for the server and the bandwidth... I have no clue how they do it for $2.40 they are nuts.

Anyways.. anyone know where I can get that control panel?

Maybe because they own them....

Who gets bandwidth for $0.025? That's impossible.

You aren't going to believe this but...

You have 24 hour access to the control panel which will provide you with all of the instructions you need to get started with your new hosting account with us.
Their control panel is so advanced that it's open all the time, no more waiting until normal business hours :stickout

Here's how they do it: (from the Company Info page)

"To keep costs low, we also do all support via instant messaging software such as the infamous AOL Instant messenger, ICQ, MSN Messenger, and Trillian. No web hosting company on the internet can offer prices as low as Zerosetup because they simply do not yet have the technology allowing them to do so. By being the first company on the "technology treadmill" we are able to lower our marginal cost per hosting account thanks to a direct link to hardware manufacturers and automation tools. "

I want a technology treadmill! It'll go right next to my Tony Little Gazelle!

EDIT: BTW, that control panel is HSphere, not the Infineology Master whatever 4.08.

Looks like they changed their offer. This one looks pretty good. 500 Megs, 100 GIG, 100 POP, ColdFusion, ASP, PHP, Perl5, MYSQL, Free Domain Name, Free Setup, Free Transfer, Windows and Unix Hosting, wow.. that's a lot.

I signed up with these guys earlier this week.

Got a phone call tonight from an employee - told me that the $2.40 accounts were an error and meant as a special when purchased with 2 upgrades (ie: 300gb transfer for $5/month, 9gb space for $6/month) and tried to sell me some upgrades. When I told him I wasn't interested, he said he'd process my account anyway. He also asked me how I found out about the deal and what other hosts I was looking at.

The upgrades sounded a little too good to be true - 300gb transfer for $5/month?! Even if it is a scam, you have to respect the guy for cold calling customers at 8pm on a Saturday. :)

Dang I wonder if they offer dedicated servers for $10.00 a month?

$5.00/300 =.0167 a gig wonder where they buy bandwidth from?
