Hi there
we are a uk based company and we are looking for a merchant account. I have been looking at 2checkout and revecome etc, i know 2checkout will send checks airmail for free but i have some questions.......
1. do either of them let you accept payment in £ ?
2. Do they let you pay the money into your account in £ or does it have to be $
3. are there any hidden costs
I know the answers to these appear on the faq but sometimes they have hidden terms etc and i want to know if any uk businesses out there are using them. I was going to go with worldpay but as if they arent already expensive enough i got an email today saying they will now be charging an extra £50 for worldaccess and £100 for futurepay unless you register before 12th June and i dont want to be rushed into making a decision.

I don't know about international people, but in the US, I just signed up with 2co a few days ago and there support for ME at least is pretty quick. I have yet to get a customer because I just set the order form up yesterday. So far everything is smooth.

Hi
Paysystems (as I understand) only offer their services via other parties ie Revecom (it may be the other way around!!)
Paysystems have been very very good. They have today set me up THREE accounts two in GBP and one in USD. It all cost the same one payment of $79 - not even paid it yet! And they say I can add additional accounts in either USD or GBP later at no additional set up cost - I think this is fantastic.
I understand that all can be consolidated for payment transfer and paid direct to UK banks. The fee for wire transfer is £10. But you can set your own minimum account balance ie £100, £200 or whatever before transfers occur - so it makes the transfer economical - no point paying £10 to transfer £10 you would end up with nothing! Setting a limit is entirely optional though
I suggest you email Angus abaldocchi@paysystems.com - he has been very helpful

go for 2checkout they are just more economical
for eg. for international wire transfers, fee is US$36
for every US$100 transferred, minus US$3
hostcharge only minus a super low US$0.50
according to 2checkout, if your payment amount is more than
US$1200, the wire transfer fee will be free. i think this is a good deal. the best thing about them is that signing up is not as troublesome as the rest, no need to fax anything. just sign up and you are done. any comments?
