PHP-Accelerator hardly makes any diference and uses the hard drive a lot as well as been resource intensive

We trialled PHPA and it did give a significant boost to a lot of scripts, but we need to run the ZendOptimizer on our servers so unfortunately we can't run PHPA :(

a huuuuuuuge thumbs up to phpa. whoever didnt see any performance benefits has it misconfigured. its an excellent piece of software.

We've got software that pulls millions of queries from a database, processes them, and goes out to users via HTTP/XML (built with PHP). PHPa has dropped resource usage tremendously and I'm very thankful for it!
