How do you manage your support technicians? I would like to know if I had a service like Live Chat Support how would it be best to manage it? How do you make sure your techs won't do something wrong and run away? Contracts?
I would appriciate all help related to this. I would like to know how to offer a completly good support service without wasting the money and making sure it's a worth investment.

If you're hiring your support techs from a reputable and reliable company, you won't need to worry about any of that. Check out HostingSupport4U.com they offer some great services.

Well it all depends on your decision ..
If you hire remote employees then just try to study them in depth including their online experience and references before hiring them...
Else, as suggested by IncognitoNetworks, you could always hire some support company ( you will find many of them listed here on WHT) and the support company then takes care of their employees.

If your just starting out then a support company is probable the right way to go.
You can need to ask for references for this very reason. You look at their work references, schooling/education, experience, online activity/behavior, etc.
You can also network through people you work with on the business and have interacted with. Chances are that you know someone knows someone who is looking for a job or contractor position. Networking among the people you know is a very powerful tool, it's also one you can trust if you're working with the right people.
If you're reason is that you don't know anyone reputable to network through and hire a tech, then contact some of the more reputable folks on WHT, maybe they can recommend someone?

Also you can have a contract that says that they can not compete with you for an x amount of time if they are fired or leave the company....
