Nice idea. Not sure how much traffic it will get, but we'll see. There is a typo in the forum title.

"This forum is for discussion of Rreligious".... Religion, it's grrrrrreat! ;)

Wow, didn't notice that (the forums). I give it a month before they have to shut it down, or setup a whole new system of mods to keep it clean :P

That is good idea but the better forum name would be: Politics, sex, religion and sex

We came up with a few choice names, but decided on that one ;)

So the solution for things the mods don't want to moderate (or the owners do not want on the forums) is to create a new forum and it'll die from lack of viewers?

Not at all. Personally, I expect that that forum will get plenty of traffic once the regulars know about it. :)

We'll be moderating that forum as well. If you see any problems in it, please report them, and we'll take action the same as we do for other Lounge threads.

At a website, we don't put all types of content on one page. If we're selling a number of different products, we have at least a page for each one. That way, people can read about the products they're interested in without having to scroll through content about products they aren't interested in. And if they want to take a look at those other products, they're just a click or 2 away. We're following the same principle and organizing the Lounge-type content better. :spiny:

When there are major issues to discuss, the Lounge can get overwhelmed with threads about various aspects of those issues. More than one thread often appears on the same topic because the thread starter didn't see the existing thread(s) on it. By giving social issues their own forum, they'll be grouped together for those who are interested in those discussions, and those who prefer more peaceful discussion will be able to enjoy that. It's a win-win situation. :)

1. The mods will still mod that forum.

2. The social forum will not suffer from lack of viewers. I think that's a certianty. :D

Seems to be a good decision to move the political and religious threads to their own sub-forum. I think I remember that idea being bantered around a couple of years back. :)

D'oh! Why must everyone "attack" my original wording. Yes, I know the mods will moderate the forum. I meant that they wouldn't have to moderate it once it dies from lack of viewers and that is an exaggeration.

2. The social forum will not suffer from lack of viewers. I think that's a certianty. :D

As compared to the lounge, I think it will. Just look at the Computers forum .

Anyway, I disagree with this decision but it'll probably stay so whatever :borg:.

Right! It has come up a few times and knocked in the head. But there seem to have been so many *contraversial* topics of late, some of which were tossed, so having a *special place* for them will allow general discussion in the lounge without the threads being relegated to page 2 because of all the newsworthy threads. :peace::wht:

I do not really see a need for it to be as another forum. Lounge seems to be the right place for it, imo.

Am i just imagining things or does post count not increase from posts in the social issues forum?

Probably a good move. No need for post counts there. Do people even care that much how many posts they have? :smokin:
