Hello,

I have many customers want to make their payments by VISA cards issued in Vietnam. I currently use Paypal as my payment gateway, but Paypal doesn't support Vietnamese cards yet.

Do you know any payment gateway like Paypal accepts Vietnamese VISA cards with low maintainance fee ?

Thanks in advance.

2CheckOut.com accepts payment from Vietnamese cardholders. Rate is 5.5% plus a one-time $49.00 sign-up fee. Payments are issued weekly by ACH bank transfer or by check.

We use 2CheckOut.com as well. They may be convenient at first, but you'll start to become irritated at their higher fee levels later on. We're looking to switch to our own merchant account.

Thanks for your help.

Is there any other merchant account than 2checkout.com ? Their transaction fee is little bit high.

Best bet is to approach a bank branch, and ask for more information regarding their small business support. In most cases, they'll support any country but you'll be responsible for chargebacks, which is something to consider when adding and accepting from certain countries. From our experiences, legitimate orders have gone up from Vietnam, so things are looking better..

2CO is really the only solution I've found that will allow you to accept payments from such a wide array of foreign nations. There are other providers out there, but none that have as high a quality of service as 2CO. Yes, the transaction fees are higher.

The only good alternative to 2CO's high fees are you own merchant account, which isn't difficult to get, so long as you meet all of the requirements. Regardless of whether you are with PayPal, 2CO, or have your own account, you are responsible for chargebacks. If you have your own Merchant Account, your success rate with chargebacks will be higher, considering the fact that PayPal rarely will make an honest effort to defend the seller, and 2CO is borderline.

Ultimately, it is a decision you have to make. We use a merchant account for local transactions with a POS solution, and use 2CO for online orders.

If you're looking for a good merchant account solution, take a look at BluePay or contact CoreyBryant here on WHT -- he seems to know a great deal about merchant solutions.

Best of luck.
