I bought a gateway computer from the store today to use as a media center pc. It had a pci 802.11g wireless network adapter card in it, and listed on the box that it had wireless as well. There is no further documentation on the card, on the website, on the card and nothing on the pc it came on, anywhere.

I put the card in my other computer, and it can't find a driver for it and I'm having a hard time getting any further. Does anyone have or know of generic wireless network adapter pci card drivers or something to get this to work? thanks

Didn't the driver come with the PC? Can you put it back in the gateway, go to device manager and see what driver it was using?

Nope, it doesn't show up in the device manager on the Gateway, or in network connections. There is no driver on any disks I was provided or in the software & driver recovery application on the computer.

What's the Gateway model number?

Get the model number off the card (sometimes hard to find) then go to driverguide.com and I bet you can find the driver.

Goto the website of the Card maker, and download the drivers for the model card you have.
