I am thinking of domain reselling and have read a lost of posts talking about which company to go with, I have decided on two OpenSRS and Enom. I still can’t decide which one to go with they both seem to be really good.

Are there any resellers out there which use these services and can give me some feedback?

I can’t seem to find how much it costs to get started.

How is all this integrated into your website, the backend I mean?

Do I need to get my own SSL certificate and merchant account (2checkout).

How much support would I need to provide and what technical knowledge is needed?

Any help is much appreciated

Last time I checked OpenSRS required $250 for full implementation, $500 for quick start.

eNom (I believe) still requires approximately $500 to start.

OpenSRS has a set of Perl programs that you host on your website. I think there is a PHP port floating around somewhere as well.

For OpenSRS, yes. Their Perl programs do not have integrated payment. There is a project out there that supposedly has "easy" integration with some popular merchant services.

For eNom, it's optional. They have an all inclusive domain sales and management interface that includes CC processing. They also have a set of PHP and ASP (last I checked) programs that you can integrate with your own CC processor.

I looked at both before going with eNom and I think that they are by far easier to get started with technically. They do require more upfront money but they also provide more value with their domains (parking, DNS etc) and even their highest per-domain charge to resellers is less than OpenSRS (last time I checked)
