"As you know, Yipes was in the process of being bid upon for acquisition. The company was split by markets -- core and other. We have a successful bidder for the core markets -- three of our original investors that have formed a shell company. The other markets have been sold to another company. The core markets include Denver and the front range, Dallas, Houston, San Francisco, San Diego, Seattle, Chicago, Washington D.C., New York and Philadelphia. The sale is expected to be totally complete in the next two weeks. Major decisions will be made in the bankruptcy court next week, including our on-going funding and personnel decisions. However, you should not see any changes in your service. Yipes will remain intact with the same name, the same commitments to customer service and the same numbers for the CEC.

So, business as usual and thank you all so much for sticking with us through this very uncertain time!"

So, Yipes! will stick around. Their service is very good. :)

Philadelphia is one of their core markets according to the above message... However, I've heard that BellSouth was on the prowl, but who knows if they actually made good on their interest....
