Hi all, a client wishes to move an addon domain (cPanel/WHM) to be it's own account, they are mindful that there are active email accounts on the addon domain. Whats the best way to accomplish this? I'd rather avoid deleting the addon domain before creating the new account.

I am assuming you are trying to create it as its own account on the same server it is currently on?

Would it work if you created an account in WHM called domain2.com then transfered everything over from the addon domain. Then deleted the addon domain and renamed the domain2.com to domain.com ?
