Do you think there would be any possible implications starting an adult image host only?

Edit : Incorrect thread title.

If you mean like an adult type of picturetrail or photobucket website? Or like an adult hosting company to host adult sites with only adult images?

Just the normal laws like models have to be 18 or older and copyrighted images perhaps might be an issue.

You just have to make sure you have all the paperwork to back up the images/content. Make sure everyone is of age and that you are not hosting stolen images. I don't see any other major issues other then those.

I think that:

a) It's doens't make any cents or profits

b) You will be liable for ANY legal disputes related to 2257 law or content producers that may spot their images at your host

Adult sites/images hosting is mostly headache and not much profits in current laws and competition.

Have servers that can handle huge onslaughts of web traffic. That's generally why regular web hosts don't allow adult sites.

You are right, technically :) But we get all complaints to our head for this kind of sites from content providers ALL THE TIME. It's a very hateful emails and I don't wish anybody to receive them :) Also content providers (owners of the content) send their complaints to EVERYBODY - your DC, FTC and list of others.

So, If you want to be in charge for this kind of issues for few bucks a month (or even free) - the choice is totally yours.

The more bandwidth he's eating the more potential customers :)

I believe hosting companies don't do adult hosting for legal reasons, it's also bad for business itself.

If I was getting lots of hits regardless if they are pages/media onto my sites, I would use it to my advantage.

Any kind of advertising is money making in the bag ;)

Thing is, it will only be images, so Im hoping I wont have as much to worry about. Infact I block all emails on my server, since I've never had any form of email that was worth my time.
