That depends, if you use/dont mind using qmail. There is QmailAdmin. You can check it out at www.inter7.com

Are you running *nix, Nt, W2k or what? All that info it needed to tell you very much more.

Balaji, Hello

1- Is there a demo of toaster somewhere?

I may want to get ride of those control panels and stick with webmin and a mail control panel.

2- Is it possible to install Squirrel Mail in a way that everyone on the server can use it for his email account on his own domain?

If I can solve Mail and Database issues I will not need control panel for some of customers.

He said he'd got Red Hat installed, so it would have to be *nix

To answer the question..
If you install webmin and usermin you can give access to users that way if that's what you need.

Yes there is a way, and there is a very good way for everyone to manage their own domains accounts as well. Visit Konstntin Riabitsev's Page (http://mricon.com/SM/guide/index.html) on the Vadmin plugin for SquirrelMail for a thorough guide on how to do this. Probably one of the easier email administration tools available.

Mac,

Sorry I didn't visit this forum for a few days and so couldn't reply to your question.

Jeff has already answered your question.

I am using qmailadmin and phpmyadmin for my hosting clients and it rocks! [especially for the HUGE licece fee I pay every month! ;) ]

Cheers

CPanel comes with a mail only skin... but then you also have to pay the licence fee. Depends whether you need email for JUST some accounts, or whether you JUST want email only.

We use Qmail (http://cr.yp.to/qmail.html) for the basic MTA, Vpopmail (http://www.inter7.com/vpopmail/) for the virtual domain hosting, Qmailadmin (http://www.inter7.com/qmailadmin/) for the control panel, and YES SquirrelMail will work with all of this!

Thank you eveyone.

This thread was one of the most useful threads I have seen on WHT :)

Back to glorious days of freedom :) when we used to run servers without paying for control panels and living with their bugs.

Thank you again.
