Rew,
It's up for me here in California, both nac and site5. Run a trace to see what is going on.

Total outage was less than 10 min, and did not affect the entire network.

heh, you can see why people use NAC to host their servers. :)

Actually I remember part of their network being down for 3 hours on Sunday a few weeks ago. And also last Sunday (as far as I can remember) they were not reachable for about 45 minutes (I confirmed this from 4 different locations in different countries). Now it might be that all these 4 locations all used a route which was down by chance, but still I for one would expect A LOT better for their prices.

Is this type of NAC downtime frequent? I was thinking of colocating a server with a provider who uses them... now I'm not so sure

NAC downtime is very infrequent.

That's what I thought, this thread just took me by surprise. Thanks for the info. :)

That's odd - we haven't noticed anything for some time except for the incredibly brief issue today (well, yesterday now, but you get the idea). The last major issue we saw was at the end of April. That wasn't NAC but internap and was also brief (15 minutes or so). Just an FYI on what we've seen for those interested like Jay.

Agreed. I have a box at NAC and apart from an apache hiccup, it's been rock solid and dependable. :agree:

yep, all clear here too. In fact the last time we had a network related support question was months ago - and turns out to be local at their end :D
