Hello WHT members,
I'm in the shopping zone for a new control panel for our hosting clients. I currently have been looking at two control panels that I really like.
1. ServerCP - http://www.zervex.com/
2. DirectAdmin - http://www.directadmin.com/
I have also looked into Interworx - http://www.interworx.com/ but, this is not on my list right now.
The two following panels seem to be very nice. My main thing is I like *clean*, cpanel seems to be sloppy and reminds me of windows everytime I'm using it. I enjoy the features cpanel offers as well do my clients. I feel as if servercp and directadmin could both replace cpanel with it's fast loading and clean look. What is everyone's thoughts on servercp and directadmin and if you have switch from cpanel to another control panel please let me know what your using and how yourself and clients like it. I would also like to hear highlighted features on both cpanel, servercp and directadmin as to which ones are missing what.
I really dig how interworx website is layed out, interworx is about the best website I have been to regarding server control panels, I feel as if servercp is a very sloppy design with poor software highlights, I also think directadmin is a 1998 design style and could use some work. If interworx would clean there control panel software up I think I would use there panel. Speed is also a big highlight and future updates. It seems cpanel lacks updates, as these others (servercp and directadmin) are quite new (meaning cpanel has been around years longer) so It's hard to tell if they plan on adding new features and keeping current clients coming back for more.
The key to any software is providing new features to there current software and keeping it secure. No one likes doing heavy updates (vbulletin) when updates come out and they because a pain on the process most people back out. I think they should include an auto update like cpanel has setup.
I'm sorry to drag this post out, but this is a big move for ourselfs and we need to make the right move. I need to find the correct path for our business and walk down it. Thanks everyone in advance!
