I spend a lot of time on the computer, at least 5-6 hours daily. Which optical mouse do you recommend? I want one that has back and forward buttons. It must be under $50. Thanks.:peace:

edit: mouse doesn't need to have back and forward buttons.

I will also suggest wireless, preferably those using radio waves, and just with a usb dongle. This will reduce desktop clutter. Look for one where the wireless can be turn on and off. Otherwise, your battery usage will be high.

Always like Microsoft hardware: http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mouseandkeyboard/productdetails.aspx?pid=045

I'm sold to Logitech optical and laser mice and trackballs:

I recommend this one:

It doesn't have back and forward buttons because it does that itself. :D

Another vote for Logitech, this one in particular:

I have it in blue, and it's like 2 years old working perfectly. Got me one of those really large plastic gaming mousepads and a "tail tamer" too.

Another vote for Logitech, I have the Logitech 3000mx laser cordless desktop and its awsome, i've had it for 5+ months and use it 4-5 hours a day and i've only had to change the batteries once.

the mouse also has back/forward buttons

That's a $100 mouse...
Just wondering what the OP could achieve with half a mouse! :)

Logitech any of there higher end ones will meet your demands.

I use a Razer but that is mostly for gaming as it is ultra sensitive.
