I am looking into another hosting company. I searched for slabhost.com and crystalweb.biz and didn't come up with much. I know these companies are new to the block but am wondering if anyone here has hosted with them or have any feedback they could give on them? Their prices are unheard of

In my past expirience. Usually new companys are good choices to go with. As they will go the extra mile to please you, to spread the word about their company.

New companies also many times don't have the financials to fix their servers after they experience their growing pains...

They could also be an overnight kind of thing and go belly up soon.

Old companies may not be properly setup for large-scale meltdowns. Ever seen a 4 story fire in an office building? Took our competitor months to rebuild providing ample time to finish our data centre and grab the edge on managed hosting in our area.
Old companies may collapse under their own bulk if enough clients are motivated to leave at the same time. Most online businesses will claim they have months of reserve funds in place in the event of slow time or product failure... most online businesses veered into dot-bomb territory because they didn't. If a provider seems to have a solid business plan and offers pricing not totally insane you should be fine.

D8TA, no matter where you go there'll always be risks involved. Don't listen to "if's" and "maybe's" from here. Wait for one or two reviews from actual clients and don't be afraid to contact anyone providing an email address in the organization. I haven't been directly involved with our sales for a long time and still receive many personal emails asking details on our service.
Sincerely,
-Matt
