last I heard was it is more than last year . . .

Last year I was only there for the last day, and I thought there were a good amount of people, and people said there were more the first day.

I bet there will be more than I am expecting . . .

It was very hot today, but of course all of the Casinos are nice and chilly. Don't forget your sunglasses, YOU WILL NEED THEM. Also, expect to smell a bit of smoke in the plane on the way in with all the wildfires burning.

As a 17 year resident of Las Vegas I will let you all know that it only takes a decade or two for the average person to acclimate.

See you all there on Monday :)

The only issue with the Warm currently is the air quality, may not want to spend alot of time outside, the fires in California are sending alot of smoke into town which is making the air suck.. else its beautifull here.. Mouse

I've been out for some food and a walk, this desert heat beat me and now I've retreated back to the mirage to take on water :) Casino downstairs looks very tempting :)

PS. Poor old Matt is stuck at Melbourne airport with a 4 hour delay :(

If you're staying at the Mirage, be sure and hop on the Tram to the TI and try their Buffet if that's your kind of thing.

Mirage == $22+ per person for late lunch/dinner.
TI == $15 per person for lunch.

I went today and it was one of the nicest Buffets I've ever been at...

I didnt actually care for either buffet, was at TI all last week and now the Mirage..
The All American at the RIO is excellent, the Steakhouse in TI is however rocks.. Mouse

Haha, that alarm ticked me off... I was barely asleep for 2 hours when it woke me up. Atleast we didn't have to evacuate the building. *phew*

Lol, you guys are lucky. The hotel somehow managed to screw up my check in date (supposed to be Saturday, instead they had it as Sunday). I was up at 6am EST in Toronto, had a day there... got into Vegas 11pm local time and was partying until 6am. I did manage then to persude the hotel to let me check in early, lol.

I drove up through Big Bear and saw the huge plumes of smoke. I had the recirculator on in the truck... definitely dont want to breathe that stuff in.

Reminded me of when I had to evacuate from my house in San Diego (east county) during the huge Cedar fire that burned down nearly 3000 houses nearby.
