Hey there,

I'm looking for a few recommendations for a reseller provider...I am currently with SonataWeb and honestly have had zero problems, the tech support has been quick and very good. I was actually planning on coming back here and writing a review until I saw what else is happening there. So I'm wanting to have a backup plan in case Mike or Terry can't wrestle the company from the current owner. Anyway, I'm looking for:

3-5GB Space
30-50GB bandwith
CPanel/WHM
PHP/MySql
RubyOnRails (ideally, but not a deal breaker)
Unlimited Accounts (ideally, but at least 30)
Possibility to upgrade account should my hobby become more serious

I think that's it...like I said, I actually have been really pleased with SonataWeb and am just covering my rear

Price Range would be in the $15-$25/month range (I got in on one of Terry's WHT deals and am paying $5.95/month for the above now, but realize I'll have to pay out a bit more)

Any thoughts and recommendations will be extremely helpful.

Ken

You may be better off, in terms of getting a quality deal, by telling prospective hosts that you just need this as a backup plan. Most hosts will be more than willing to help you with an easy solution to backup your directories on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. Then, in the event that your current host failed in some respect, they could help you go live with the website from the backups they previously were taking.

Dotable just offers RubyOnRails recently. You might want to take a look

Try WHT HostQuote feature, but help you whittle down your prospects. Then do some research on those you like.

I think as far as backup plan, means having his stuff at a totally different site(host) than his current, so simply putting on a directory for your existing host wont do you any good if it is a internal thing your concerned about. I think with your specs, there are some good hosts out there that will give you what your looking for in terms of price, service, uptime...Hope this helps....

Plenty of web hosts will be able to offer matching plans. Head over to HostSearch.com and take your pick from any of the top rated web hosts.
