Hello, When I try and run the top command on my server, I get the following error:

[admin@www admin]$ top
bad data in /var/run/utmp


I also have a DNS problem..we have the Bind DNS server running and everything, have the name servers setup on the domain. I updated that Saturday. And _nobody_ can still access the domain.

Any ideas? Thanks..

Delete /var/run/utmp then touch it (ie touch and /var/run/utmp) reboot. I am not sure why this problem occurs, but that seems to fix it.

As to the second problem post the domain name, and I'll be happy to see if there are any obvious problems :).
