taking uptime and support into considerations (maybe price also), who would you pick to run YOUR BUSINESS? If possible, rank them. thanks.

Of the 3 that you mentioned I have only used mchost before so I can't comment on the other 2, I wasn't happy with mchost so I changed to Voxtreme and now I couldn't be happier. trustedurl.com 06-03-2002, 04:06 PM Originally posted by fatbargains taking uptime and support into considerations (maybe price also), who would you pick to run YOUR BUSINESS? P7 is cheaper than McHost and gives you (more) IPs (if justified). Both use dv2, servers are comparable as well. I guess it depends if you want a larger company or a small company to deal with. Both are good choices imho. I guess for price P7 wins, for uptime possible McHost or tied with P7, support I'd say P7. Chang Lee 06-04-2002, 06:35 AM i would stick to either mchost or pixel7 at this time. netacore does not seem to be a competent company as yet... but tomorrow they just may be. netacore looks quite promising too, but at the moment they are suffering from server problems. they are in the process of shifting clients to new servers. all three companies have had a nice track record here. just dont give too much weight to the recent posts about netacore being down because these things have happened to mchost in the past too. most hosting companies learn fast from such problems. mchost has recovered from their server problems they had recently it seems. voxtreme is another great company. you may want to check out surrenderonline.com too. they look very promising also. in short... at the moment... all these hosts are promising hosts at this time, except netacore. kjedwards 06-04-2002, 12:27 PM Hi I joined Netacore just before their recent problems. I found them very helpful and answer support tickets within a few hours. The recent problems can really happen to any hosting company, the test, I guess, is how they handle it. For the money I think Netacore are doing pretty well - they still found time to answer my tickets desipte the terrible time they were having. I am sure the recent problems are temporary and seem to be focused on one server. Users on other servers seem to have had no trouble and speak very highly of them. Of course the true test is time, all I can say is despite the terrible time since I joined Netacore I am staying with them. Yours Kevin tallboy 06-04-2002, 02:58 PM I am facing a similar choice: MCHost vs. Pixel7 P7 is cheaper but seem like they very new, MCHost seems ok at this point. Am running away from VO as things have gone south there. Any more comments on either? badr 06-04-2002, 07:46 PM P7 is not that new, they have been around for quite some time and did business as www.idnsys.com , I think that the old site is still up. I hvae just openened an account with them last week and sean has been great and patient when faced with my idiotic newbie questions. I'd say P7 is a better choice in my opinion. good luck |
