View Full Version : domain sellers?
DarkStealth|Brian 07-13-2006, 05:15 PM Is there a place where I can buy domains to sell to other people? What I mean by that is I can setup any domain name I want to(besides .com .net .org etc.) in a cPanel or something. I'm not really sure, so I just thought I'd ask. :)
sailorFred 07-13-2006, 06:21 PM Are you talking about buying unregistered domains? If so, then you want a good registrar or reseller of a good registrar.
You seem to be asking about creating a new top level domain, which you don't have the authority to do.
Stan Marsh 07-13-2006, 06:24 PM http://enom.com
http://resellerclub.com
http://resellone.com
http://stargate.com
http://domainjingles.com
http://nicline.com
http://registerfly.com
You can get domain reseller account at all places above (please note, however, that not all are recommended, though).
Sorry, I don't understand your question part about cPanel.
DarkStealth|Brian 07-13-2006, 07:19 PM Which are highly recommended?
sailorFred 07-13-2006, 08:41 PM enom/namecheap are good.
registerfly has some astounding horror stories you can find by searching.
GoDaddy will kidnap all your domains and hold them hostage if the name is reported to have been used in spam. Note that even if you don't spam, someone may do a "joe job" on you, and you're screwed.
Yahoo is only a reseller for MelbourneIT in Australia. Yahoo has poor customer service, and MelbourneIT will not do any unless Yahoo cancel all service related to the domain name and turns the name over to them. Anything requiring an EPP code is a nightmare to transfer away from them. Do some searching on this topic.
I don't have experience with directi/resellerclub or the others.
Evolver 07-13-2006, 08:47 PM I use Enom and OpenSRS
Enom has cheaper prices but their cctld support is lacking.
OpenSRS is a few dollars more expensive but their cctld support is much better.
DarkStealth|Brian 07-13-2006, 11:47 PM Is 1and1 any good? I'm thinking about getting a domain from them(not talking about resell at the moment.)
Evolver 07-13-2006, 11:55 PM Dont know about 1&1 but I use GoDaddy also. If you use HASH3 coupon you can get $2 off the domain registration.
DarkStealth|Brian 07-14-2006, 12:22 AM Yeah I also use godaddy for my teams website, virtuosogaming.net Can you explain what the HASH3 coupon is?
Evolver 07-14-2006, 11:03 AM Yeah I also use godaddy for my teams website, virtuosogaming.net Can you explain what the HASH3 coupon is?
It gives you $2 off the domain name purchase.
Stan Marsh 07-14-2006, 11:09 AM Can you explain what the HASH3 coupon is?
It's a discount coupon. When you checkout, you apply the coupon to your cart and voila, price has been reduced.
Good luck!
directi.com is best in my opinion.
DarkStealth|Brian 07-14-2006, 04:44 PM Yeah, I just purchased the godaddy domain, but the HASH3 coupon has already expired.
WBrandt 07-17-2006, 07:12 AM Hi,
I would recommend you Nicline.com. They have very competitive prices ($6.38 per domain), their interface lets you create reseller accounts and it is fully integrated with cubepanel.com – a new server control panel.
Cube Panel is also a great choice for a cp. It has several levels, comes with 5 languages and it supports Windows and Linux. Try the available free version at
cubepanel.com/download/index.htm

WBrandt
