i was deciding between 4 server companys. dialtone. 4webspace. burstnet. cheapservers.

Just to report in on what happened;
I did go ahead and order the burst.net $99 deal. I decideed to go that route after i had about a 30 minute discussion with one of their sales guys.The deal was really to good to pass up with the offer. They set me up my server the same day and walked me thru the basics of how to use it. So far so good. I'll keep you updated on how it works out. So far I am happy though. We'll see what happens if I really have a problem though.

just be prepared to pay more after 3 months... seems like a bad deal imho.

Definately worth it cause they helped me get started for the first three months. Besides I couldn't find a cpanel server cheaper anywhere else at the time. I don't think I could now if I tried. Even if I did though I wouldn't leave cause you can't get service better than directly from the programmer himself.
