I am in the midst of developing a small site. I don't need much space for this site. I estimate around 50mb will be more than enough and that providing for future growth. Anyway, is there a reliable hosting service that could accomodate me? I don't want to spend much money for hosting because this site is more or less a hobby site. Basically designed to keep my web development skills up. So any suggestions will be helpful. So far I am considering www.hostsave.com and www.************.com. Again, any suggestions or comments will be helpful.
Thanks,
Red

try placing or asking the mod. to move this thread to the advertising section of the forum. there you should be able to get ( based on your request ) about 10 to 20 offers

www.webguyz.ws probably has the cheapest prices out there.
If anyone has exp, it would be nice to hear from them, but if you haven't it would be better not to criticize them because of their price.

What type of development are you talking about? Are you a programmer? It looks like hostsave is UNIX and WH4L is Windows NT (although it looks like HostSave has a sister site WinSave). If you are doing development in Perl or PHP, you should probably go with HostSave. If you need ASP or SQL Server, go with WH4L.
It doesn't look like HostSave has any type of database. You can usually get a mySQL database with UNIX accounts. They probably offer it, but I can't see anything that specifically states it. WH4L has mySQL and SQL Server if you upgrade your plan
People will probably slam WH4L because they offer unlimited data transfer, so be warned. Also, you have to pay for WH4L by the year. There is no monthly plan, although they say they will prorate your dues and return your unused amount if you cancel before the year is up.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I went with emegaweb.net simply because of the price they gave me. I am setup for a year for only $60 including domain registration. They customized the plan for me. They also give a refund if you decide to cancel the service before the year is up of the unused service. They run Linux servers so I don't know how that will work out. If I have too many problems I can leave within 30 days and get all my money back. So, I will give them a shot. I get 100mb of space and 2gb of transfer. Thats more than this site will need. Again thanks for your suggestions and I will post how well the service is going. And any comments are welcome if you know anything about this service.
Thanks,
