I made a small 4gb partition to install redhat on in my computer - it was a 45gb HD, no biggie.

back at that time, I had Win2k, and when I installed RedHat, I chose the option to show me the boot menu when computer loaded - to choose btween redhat and dos.

couple weeks went by, i never used RedHat and formatted my windows drive and installed XP - XP took off the menu that let me choose between redhat and windows.

Now, whats the best way to get rid of the redhat and the linux partition? I had trouble with this before - but last time, I just formatted the linux partition cause I thought I could make fdisk to just delete the linux parition - but nope, that didn't work cause fdisk saw it but didn't know what it was, so never touched it.

is there any programs like fdisk (free and used in boot disk) that will recognize and remove linux partitions? i guess i can do this with programs like partition magic, but don't want to waste money on that program.

thanks

Well I know 2000 (Server at least) has a built in tool

Setting -> Control Panel -> Admin Tools -> Computer Management

No clue on XP... sorry
