A friend/client of mine (I'm hosting his domain/site) would like a site put together, basically a brochure type site, fairly simple.
Needs to be clean and slick.

Some more detailed info below, please rreview and if interested in the job let me know. Please provide portfolio links and indicative pricing.

Website – James Viles ( www.perishableart.com)

The Vision :
To have a website that will showcase a collection of food, restaurant design shots and my portfolio in a simple to use, clean-cut, harmonious format. Some sketches and bontanical elements to it would be great.

The colours of the website would be maybe cream and gray as a backdrop ( or something soft like that ) and then the colour would come from a navigation bar of Photographs similar to this website www.gustoimages.com … or similar to the rolling tool bar on a Macintosh.. The home page would consist of the Navigation bar of photos, a moving centre piece that catches the eye which relates to the word ( Perishableart ) this centre piece would play host to a number of links, ‘ the portfolio’, ‘the relations ’, ‘ the images’ , the ideas’ , ‘ the person’, ‘ the hardware’ these links would move around the screen slowly like this wesite www.mugaritz.com . Each link would have small rough sketch that would relate to that heading.

The website should also have simple contact form.

I would also like to be able to input photos and recipes, the photos would go into the sliding navigation bar and the recipes would go into the ‘the ideas’ link (small CMS)

Breif description of links:

The portfolio : My career thus far as a chef

The Relations: People who have helped thus far and media publications

The Ideas : Recipes, Tips ect

The Person : Contact details of myself and my philosophy

The Hardware : Essential equipment and desired product lines

These links would carry the same feel as the home the home page a link back to the home page would consist of a small moving figure ( Animated) or something like that to also catch the eye. In relation to photographs I have attached some to start with, a photographer here in Dubai will be coming in to finish the rest on selected plates etc within the next few weeks. I regards to sketches I will have some of those done around the same time as the photos.

The whole website should be very user friendly, very clean-cut and I don’t think it will need to have Flash… although it's not the end of the world if we do.

Here are some example images to be used on the site:

I'm always interested in work! Especially when it can so easily revolve around my specialist area - CMS. If you are still looking for someone to complete this give me a shout!

Thanks

Hi all and thanks to everyone so far who has responded.
The job is still "open". I'm still reviewing everyones portfolios so we can work with the designer that has the style that fits what we are looking for.

There is some really great work out there, keep it up!
