try a search of the forums. you'll find your answer. to keep it short, there have been very minimal complaints, if any.

Yeah, try searching the forums. From what I hear they are pretty good.

Their supposed to be very good, they did have some rather lengthy downtimes a couple of days ago, but those are resolved as far as I know.

If you are looking for a reliable host at a low price they fill the bill.

The only problem I have experienced in almost 6 months is problems with the web.log going awol for a month. Any downtime has been minimal as I have not come across any. I have heard the occassional problem has been experienced by mysql users due to overload on some servers.

They've got a very good reputation, one of the best on this forum, I think.

If it is/isn't listed in the features for the account you are looking for, that should answer your question. I could only guess otherwise (though my guess would be that since subs have to be set up manually - can't do it through the CP - that they don't offer it unless you ask).

I've had a customer's site on Tera-byte for several months now, and they have been reliable just up until the past week and 1/2. They had quite a bit of downtime the weekend of the 20th, which they attributed to a problem with Sprint Canada (traceroutes seemed to confirm this at the time). However, my customer's domain is down again this morning, which leaves me no choice but to move them somewhere else.

Tera-byte has been good otherwise, and I have found their support people to be both friendly and on-the-ball. Hopefully these recent problems are just a bump in the road and nothing more.

Update - I called tera-byte, and they had me up and running again in a few minutes. The problem appeared to be just my server and was not system-wide.

I asked them a while back about subdomains. Its $5.00 per sub per year.

Tera-Byte has been excellent to a newbie like myself. They have gone out of their way to do the little things I am supposed to be doing myself. Tech support is tops and prices are great.

Finding bad posts about Tera-Byte will prove to be quite difficult!

I very nearly hosted a site there, but their stats don't include referer info, so you can't see how people are getting to your site :-(

Not sure whether this will help you but they are set up for unlimited alias.

IE: type any name you want in front of our domain and you will go to it. http://Angel78.artbyjudy.com opens our homepage. As you can get a dedicated IP I understand you could set up a script to guide Angel78.artbyjudy.com to open at a subdirectory

I have been with them for a couple of months, and I am very happy.

I have a dedicated server, and with that subdomains are included. I am not sure if you are referring to dedicated or virtual, but either way they're pretty reliable and I have not noticed one second of downtime since I've been with them.

They really do answer the phone 24/7, and there's always someone in their support chatroom.

So far I'd give them 10/10, and I've been with quite a few hosts in my time.

There are two ways of getting to it - web browser or Mirc.

Web :
http://www.4webspace.com/chat.html

For some reason my browser doesn't like something on this page, so I connect via Mirc.

Mirc :
Connect to server mircx.com by typing /server mircx.com in the status window.
Join channel #4webspace.

You're there!

Good luck. :o)
