1) After setting up a user and domain, I went to confirm that they were created successfully. So I logged into the ip:8443 as the user, it worked, but when I tried to ftp under the same account I recieved an errorSTATUS:> Socket connected. Waiting for welcome message...
ERROR:> Can't read from control socket. Socket error = #10054.Not quite sure what that means, but I can't ftp to the account.

2) While logged in as admin and I click on Services Management, I see that Apache is down, but when I try to start it, it doesn't turn green, just stays red.

Not quite sure what that means, but I can't ftp to the account.First off, do you have FTP passive mode enabled? Does your Plesk install have Dr. Web Antivirus included? As for this, there's a bunch of results on Google (http://www.google.com/search?num=100&hl=en&lr=&safe=off&q=Can%27t+read+from+control+socket.+Socket+error+%3D+%2310054&btnG=Search).

Dr Web is on.
