Hi
I want to move my domain to reliable company because I don’t know anything about it

I have some questions:
1. can a company steal domain from users? How?
2. How can I move my domain to another company? (I don’t know anything about it?

1. Well, nobody can steal from you 'your' domain, because you don't own it. Registry does. However, you have bought the right to use the domain for the timeframe agreed (usually 1 year). Company from which you bought it can limit your use of the said domain if you are braking their ToS, for example. GoDaddy is 'famous' of doing that quite often.

1a. If you bought your domain from hosting company (very big mistake!!!) there could be additional risks involved. *NEVER EVER* buy your domains from hosting companies (and your hosting from registrars, for that matter).

2. wait at least 60 days from the registration date
login to your account where the domain is currently registered
unlock it
make sure admin contact's email is up to date
logout
login to company wherever you've decided to transfer your domain to
request the transfer of your domain, following their menus
wait for the transfer email to appear in domain's admin's email box
approve the transfer, following the instructions in the email
that's it - in about 5 days you'll have your domain in your account at 'reliable company'

Good luck!!!

First of thx for the fast answer

Second:
You said

Don’t I own the domain?
You mean for example Microsoft doesn’t own Microsoft.com?
Registry can block/lock it whenever it wants? They can refuse to extend it whenever they want?

Company from which you bought it can limit your use of the said domain if you are braking their ToS
Can you plz tell an example of braking their ToS?
For example if my site contain adult contents.

GoDaddy is 'famous' of doing that quite often.
What do they do? Do they block my domain?
Is it the same for namecheap.com?

make sure admin contact's email is up to date
What does it mean?

wait for the transfer email to appear in domain's admin's email box
Where is the domain's admin's email box?
My new provider or old one?

that's it - in about 5 days you'll have your domain in your account at 'reliable company'
In these 5 days my website would be unreachable?

Good luck!!!
Thank you :)

If Microsoft will brake the rules, yes - their registrar can shut down the domain. Registry will NOT do this, just tell the registrar to shut it down. Because they are not dealing with individual cases, mostly.

Most registrars doesn't care what content you're hosting and would shut your site down only having the court order. *EXCEPT* of GoDaddy; one (false) spam complain could be enough for them. Search these forums for some stories. The last one was about 1399 domains of one Russian hosting company...

Also, read your registrar's ToS and *understand* them for some illegal activities as seen by them your domain could be suspended for.

Yes.

I don't know about NameCheap. Read their ToS.

What does it mean?

Your domain's admin contact is Administrative contact as per whois record. That's the email where all transfer requests are delivered.

Where is the domain's admin's email box?
My new provider or old one?

Only you can answer this question, looking to your domain's whois.

In these 5 days my website would be unreachable?

Of course, it will be reachable! If everything will be done professionally.
