i have a VPS and domain name from surfspeedy.com
VPS works nice and fine yay
domain name: no
i can't figure out the process for settnig up its DNS situation. the tech support are doing it wrong according to someone trying to help me on IRC (telling me to talk to the surfspeedy technical support)
megaspaz: ask him how is my domain supposed to resolve if it depends on a name server using my domain name?
megaspaz: i need to resolve domain.com but it has to go to a name server on domain.com...
megaspaz: does that make sense to you?
Mr_Sako: yes it makes sense, before i was just fallowing the basic guides of what it looks like you were supposed to do in the panel
megaspaz: really? that doesn't make sense to me... it can't resolve domain.com, so how can it check ns1.domain.com? ... ie... domain.com doesn't resolve!
ok so supposively im supposed to resolve my domain around surfpseedy name servers not ns1.gofastgmaing.com and ns2.gofastgaming.com
but their techincal responses and knowledge base doesnt seem to say anything like this. so either surfspeedy are wrong, or they do something weird with their domain names?
ive had a ticket flying around with them to try and fix this issue for like a week and for the most part the responses have been "wow this is odd... im going to escalte this ticket to a chimpanzee on a higer level"
surfspeedy seems to have had a good amount of customers and alot of satisfied ones also. it may be that i'm just having trouble becasue this is my first VPS/domain name
anyway, has anybody else had a domain name with surfspeedy? how did you have it setup?
