Hello

I have been in ISP industry for about 5 years but I do not have enough experience with wireless internet access.

Would someone suggest some examples of equipments (brand names please) I need to be able to give wireless internet access with something about 115kbit/s (Interface to computer can be standard com ports).

I had seen such an equipment for a range of 2-4 km but I have forgotten brand name etc.

It was a hub like equipment and client side modem like small equipments.

Would you please suggest brand names (It will be great if you can introduce model and technical info ... :) )

Regards,
Mac

We are rolling out wireless in our local region.
I would suggest the following hardware, of which we have tested and worked with and liked:

BACKHAUL/PTP:
Proxim Stratum (proxim.com)
Western Multiplex Tsunami (wmux.com)

PTMP
Proxim Harmony (proxim.com)
Lucent/Agere Orinoco (orinoco.com)
Teletronics CPE (teletronics.com)
DeMarc (demarctech.com
Maxrad (maxrad.com)
YDI (ydi.com)

SOFTWARE
Karlnet (karlnet.com)

VENDORS:
Electrocomm Dist (electro-comm.com)
Tessco (tessco.com)

That should be enough to get you started...

Your best bet is to read up in archives at http://www.isp-lists.com Wireless List.
You can learn everything you need to know there.
