View Full Version : Registerfly domain renewal
lordg 07-05-2006, 06:22 PM How long does it take for Registerfly to renew domains? Because it's been over 24 hours and the domains I renewed with Registerfly are still being transfer in progress.
Why does it take so long?
solidar 07-05-2006, 07:30 PM from experiences takes about 3 days. They change the process this year as they are now icann registrar

fewcoin 07-05-2006, 08:33 PM What if, you cut it very close and the domain expired within the 3 days it takes RF to transfer?
Do they give you a grace period?

I do weeks before so I do not knows
I'd get on the phone to them IMMEDIATELY, if I were you.
Stan Marsh 07-06-2006, 05:38 AM Actually, this is not a renewal, but a transfer eNom/RegisterFly. As far as I am aware, this could take upto 5 days, sometimes even more, as eNom is not keen about releasing their domains.
Good luck!
I repeat..
I'd get on the phone to them IMMEDIATELY, if I were you.
elmister 07-06-2006, 11:19 PM I agree with stu2, if i were you, i would be very careful with registerfly renewals, at this time, instead of renewing with them, i'm transfering away, i don't trust on their "transfer to renew" procedure.

Transferring is exactly what I'm doing! I renewed one name 3 days ago and no new renew date so far.
In fact, I got a email saying transfer failed!?. It's absolutely crazy what they are doing. I won't be renewing anything any longer with them.

Do they give you a grace period? They give a 29 day grace period.
I don't know what all the hub-bub is about RegisterFly. I've been with them for 3 years, registered 20+ domains with them, and the only problem I had was a week ago when I tried to register a domain, and it got denied. No money was taken from my RF account, nothing charged to my credit card, no loss on my end except that I couldn't register the domain. So I jumped on their live support (mind you it's about 3am) and the representitive told me they were experencing problems with their register, and told me try again after 9am. I did, and the domain was registered successfully. Transfers, change of ownership, renewals, purchases...no speed bumps for me. Maybe they like me?
solidar 07-07-2006, 06:23 PM of course they haves to transfer when renew time, they no longer reseller. What you expect. I have renew/transfer many names and they work good. just do ahead time
