Would some of you share your experiences with Freeservers?

They are communityarchitect resellers and communityarchhitect isn't a very good host:(

For example commhnityarchitect changed it so all resellers' free plans went down to 12mb (i remember when freeservers had 20mb/ftp for free just over a year ago) with no ftp

And thier paid hosting is a ripoff

CommunityArchitect and Freeservers are the same thing. Freeservers is not a reseller, it is CA/Northsky.

CA hosting is not that bad for newbies because it is pretty easy to use. Going straight into a 'real' host can be really confusing if you have never tried to build a site before. Uptime is good and support is good too if you are paying for the service. When you start to grow beyond newbie stage and want to do more than just simple sites though, other hosting options will work better for you.

I hosted a domain name with freeservers.com for a few months in 1997, before moving to paid hosting.

My experience with them was that for free hosting, you get quite a lot (at the time no other free host that I could find was able to offer the hosting of top level domains for free).

The reason I got out a few months later was because my needs outgrew them, and at the time they also had a lot of slowdowns and downtime, not to mention that scripting isn't supported.
